About Joseph Nowell Trio

Joseph Nowell and Manolo Cabras met at a jam in 2018 in Antwerp, and then began working with Gaspard Sicx. The trio mostly plays Joseph’s originals, and their debut album “Sketches” will be coming out soon for “Off” (autumn 2022). The compositions combine elements of traditional and modern jazz colours with 20th century classical music and are a springboard for the creation of open and free flowing music, with a strong emphasis on improvisation and interplay between the three members of the trio.
