About Me
Gaspard Sicx is a drummer and composer originating from Brussels. After studying jazz drumming in Antwerp and Brussels with teachers like Marek Patrman, Thomas Grimmonprez and Stephane Galland he quickly started playing in the local music scene. Gaspard plays now with a growing amount of projects like the international band Fievel is Glauque, the singer Garance Midi, the trio of Jordi Grognard and many more. He started his own projects like his trio and quintet or the band Super Gum that he co-leads with Ari Rodriguez, Anatole Damien and Samuel Marie. In 2022 he won the Toots Thielemans Jazz Award. Hello everyone! I'm very happy to announce three new releases from projects that are very dear to my heart. The frist one being my own quintet, which was released in february. I'm very proud of that record and looking forward to playing more with this band. Second one is the album of Lara Humbert Quartet. The music of this project is so unique and precious I hope you'll have a listen! And last one is the first album of Garance Midi.
